Wholesome Banana Bread: A Healthier Twist on a Classic Favorite

 Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.

 In a bowl, mash 3 ripe bananas with a fork.

 Mix in 1/4 cup of honey or maple syrup and 1/4 cup of melted coconut oil.

Stir in 2 beaten eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, combine 1 and 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt.

Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, stirring until just combined.

Fold in 1/2 cup of chopped nuts or chocolate chips if desired.

Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
