Homemade Applesauce: A Simple and Delicious Recipe

Peel, core, and chop 6-8 apples into chunks.

In a saucepan, combine the apple chunks with 1/2 cup of water.

Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar.

Stir in 1 teaspoon of cinnamon for added flavor.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low.

Simmer uncovered for 15-20 minutes until apples are tender.

Mash the cooked apples with a potato masher or blend for smoother consistency.

Let cool before serving or refrigerating for later use.
